Our Sustainable Beauty Mission: Land To Sea

At Eminence Organic Skin Care, caring for your skin goes hand in hand with caring for the Earth. Our environmental initiatives reflect our belief that skin care and sustainability are deeply connected. With your support, we’ve planted over 29 million trees Forests for the Future™ initiative with Trees for the Future.

Now, we’re expanding that commitment below the surface — supporting marine health and coral reef restoration in the Florida Keys with the incredible team at I.CARE and rebuilding underwater forests through kelp planting with veritree.

Here’s how your support is helping regenerate ecosystems — from farmland to ocean floor.

Forests For The Future™: 29 Million Trees & Growing

Every time you buy a retail product from Eminence Organics, you’re doing more than investing in your skin. You’re planting a tree through our Forests for the Future™ initiative.

In partnership with Trees for the Future, this initiative supports farmers in developing countries by providing education and resources to grow Forest Gardens, diverse sustainable gardens that restore soil health, feed families and create long-term livelihoods.

And the impact keeps growing.

With your help, we’ve planted over 29 million trees! Your support has trained over 6,000 farmers and provided food and dignified work to communities around the world, helping to restore the soil and build a more sustainable future.

Our Regenerative Work Beneath The Waves

Now, we’re taking our commitment to regeneration even further by expanding our commitment to restorative agriculture below the sea! By partnering with veritree, we’ve diversified our tree planting to include kelp in the Pacific Northwest in Kenya and Brazil. For our first project with veritree, we planted over 599,000 kelp in BC, Canada.

Here’s why:

Kelp provides a habitat for 10% of coastal marine life
25% of coastal species are supported by kelp
Kelp helps mitigate wave size by 60% (limiting impact on humans!)
Kelp absorbs CO2 and converts it into organic matter

Supporting Coral Reef Restoration With I.CARE

Another way we’re restoring our oceans? By partnering with I.CARE to restore coral reefs in the Florida Keys. Founded by Dr. Kylie Smith and Mike Goldberg, I.CARE is a leading force in coral reef restoration, combining education, science and community to heal our oceans.

Their groundbreaking model has already trained thousands of recreational divers in coral transplanting and reintroduced more than 10,000 temperature-resistant coral into damaged reefs. It has also helped restore vital marine ecosystems through award-winning community-based conservation.

To experience their work firsthand, Eminence Organics President Boldijarre Koronczay embarked on a journey to the Florida Keys. Boldijarre immersed himself in this pioneering coral restoration project starting with education. He began by learning about coral reefs’ vital role in our planet’s health and mastering the essential skills for underwater conservation.

Then it was time to get to work! Boldijarre plunged beneath the waves, diving 40 feet below the surface in his signature apron and hat to help transplant baby, temperature-resistant coral fragments. These fragments are reintroduced to restore biodiversity, improve the health of coral reefs and protect marine ecosystems for generations to come.
